Alltel started as a local telecommunications company and, with hawkeye’s help, grew to become the fifth largest wireless carrier in the United States. When Alltel began partnering with us in 1999, branding was inconsistent across various media and the company had little experience in direct marketing. During our 10-year relationship, we helped extend an overarching brand umbrella across all channels and assisted in building their direct marketing competency to a world-class level. Each year, we’ve mailed over 22 million direct mail pieces on behalf of Alltel, supported by e-mail, landing pages, microsites and internal campaigns for their consumer and B2B services. In early 2009, the acquisition of Alltel by competitor Verizon was announced; the transaction was valued at $28.1 billion.
